Elk Hair Caddis

Although most of the fly fishing on the Lower Guadalupe River is sub surface, occasionally you be able to fish dry flies. The three most common dry files you will use include Trico spinners, Blue Winged Olives and Caddis.

You can spot Caddis, typically in the late afternoon, bouncing along the surface of the river. Similar to a moth, their beating wings make them look like fluff balls.
