Sparkle Caddis Pupa

Just before caddis emerge to become adults, they quickly rise to the surface assisted by an air bubble. The Sparkle Caddis represents a pupa as it rises to the surface. Fish this fly just when adult caddisflies appear. Use swing method and expect violent strikes from trout.

Tying Instructions

1. Smash barb and place hook on vise.
2. Wrap thread from eye to bend.
3. Tie in antron yarn.
4. Dub thread with olive fur and wrap two-thirds up hook towards eye to make abdomen.
5. Pull the antron yarn forward and tie off behind the eye.
6. Tie off head and cement.
